In 1997, the U.S. Government chose AVCARD to design, implement and operate a revolutionary new program called the AIR Card (Aviation Into-Plane Reimbursement) program. Over the next seven years, with three successive follow-on contracts through 2004, AVCARD continued to improve this program to meet and exceed DESC's expectations.

In 2002, AVCARD was awarded the Outstanding Readiness Support Award for our efforts in support of Operation Eduring Freedom.

Although AVCARD is no longer processing transactions for the AIR Card, AVCARD has now evolved to become one of DESC's largest jet fuel suppliers.

In AVCARD's role as an important strategic partner to DESC, we now supply fuel to U.S. Government aircraft at critically important locations such as Iraq, Afghanistan, Spain, Bulgaria, Nambia, Seychelles, Turkmenistan, Honduras, Brazil, Papua New Guinea, Japan, and Australia.

The U.S. Government is one of several government clients which include an exclusive fueling contract with the Italian Military, as well as cardholder relationships with the German Air Force, Canadian Department of National Defense, Norwegian Defense Logistics Organization, and Royal Australian Air Force. We are actively pursuing additional government clients.
